Hi, I’m Fran, founder of Rex in the City. If you're looking for a boarding experience that feels more like a holiday than a kennel stay, you’ve come to the right place. Our boarding takes place in a family home – warm, welcoming, and relaxed – with usually just one or two dogs staying at any given time. That means your pup gets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment where they can settle in and truly feel at home. They’ll have full access to toys, comfy beds, and a spacious garden to sniff around and enjoy. Every 24-hour boarding stay includes two walks (depending on pick-up and drop-off times), and those aren’t your average city strolls. I grew up surrounded by dogs, and after spending a year living with eight hounds on the West Coast of Ireland, I fell in love with the joy of pack walks, open spaces, and the simple pleasure dogs get from romping around in nature. While we may not have beaches in Fulham or Putney, we’re lucky to have Beverly Brook nearby – a beautiful stretch of green space where dogs can run free, splash in shady water, chase balls, and just be dogs. Whether your pup is a high-energy Hungarian Vizsla or a laid-back Maltese, we tailor each day to their needs with the perfect mix of exercise, stimulation, and down time.
